The Geelong Bollards are a much-loved public art trail along the Geelong waterfront, sharing stories from the city's past.
More than 100 painted bollards can be found between Rippleside and Limeburners Point. Each one represents a person or character connected to Geelong's history, including early explorers, local families and community figures.
Artist Jan Mitchell was commissioned by the City of Greater Geelong in the 1980s to turn old pier timbers and piles into colourful works of art.
Set beside Corio Bay, the bollards are now one of Geelong's most recognisable waterfront attractions.
